Andrew Ancheta, BS in Biology ’21

One of the campus ministers once asked me, what can’t a human live without? She said, purpose. Campus Ministry has given me the support to walk on the journey towards finding my purpose. And more importantly, they’ve given me: a family to grow alongside; the push to move out of my comfort zone; and the inspiration to ponder on the reason for living.

Andrew is a 4th year Biology major with a minor in Data Sciences. He is actively involved on campus, leading tours for the Admissions office since his sophmore year. He was chosen to attend the 2020 LA Immersion experience, but due to COVID-19 is has been postponed. He also was chosen in 2017 to go to the Catholic Relief Services Summit in Washington D.C. where he became a CRS Ambassador on campus, highlighting social issues and promoting events through CRS such as human trafficking, climate change, world hunger, etc. He is actively involved in campus ministry in the various retreats, programs, and service events.
