Retreats

We offer several retreat opportunities throughout the academic year. Each retreat is different in its approach to articulating the Marianist charism of being a community of faith in service and mission to our brothers and sisters and to the greater Church community. Retreats, by its very nature, takes you out of your everyday routine and offer instead time for prayer, reflection, sharing, and recreation.

What are Retreats?
Retreats are programs that invite people to take time off from their “real world” experience to develop their faith and to build and nurture a faith community with their peers on and off campus. Retreats often include presentations by peers on various topics followed by personal reflection and small and/or large group discussions.

What are the benefits of attending retreats?
Students who have participated on retreats have expressed that:

  1. Retreats have helped them to meet new people who have in time become friends;
  2. Through the retreat experience, there is a deeper sense of community; ‘ohana (family) and it doesn’t end – it continues on campus;
  3. Retreats renew my relationship with God; strengthen my faith; and help me in my relationships.
