Archbishop Auza has a long experience in diplomatic service for the Holy See. Born in Talibon, Republic of the Philippines he was ordained a priest in 1985. He earned a doctorate in Theology and entered the diplomatic service of the Holy See in 1990. Served at the Apostolic Nunciature in Madagascar, in Bulgaria, and then in Albania. In 2014, Archbishop Auza was appointed Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the United Nations in New York and Permanent Observe of the Holy See to the Organization of American States.
