This Sunday, October 12 we will welcome the Lumana’i O Samoa club to our 7:30 p.m. Mass. The club will be providing the music for the evening liturgy and will present several religious dance performances at the end of Mass.
White Sunday or “Lotu Tamaiti” (Children’s Service) as it is known in Samoa, is a day set aside to honor children, and is celebrated on the second Sunday of October. At Sunday services on this day, children will recite scriptural verses or “tauloto” and perform reenactments of biblical stories. The students of Lumana’i O Samoa has continued this tradition during their studies here at Chaminade University.
