On Sunday, we will welcome the members of the General Administration of the Society of Mary, the Marianist Brothers and Priests. The General Administration are visiting the Marianist communities in the state and throughout the Province as part of their ministry to the Society of Mary on the international level. The Very Rev. Manuel Cortés, S.M., Superior General, will be the main presider at our 10 a.m. Eucharist this Sunday, September 21.
The liturgy will also be offered for the repose of the soul of Rev. Paul Marshall, S.M., who served as the assistant for temporalities for the Province of the US and was a member of Chaminade University’s Board of Regents. Fr. Paul died on July 17, 2014 while visiting our Brothers in Ranchi, India. He was 66 years of age and had been a Marianist for 46 years. Over the years, Fr. Paul had been a high school religious teacher and chaplain, a pastor of an inner-city parish, a university professor, and Rector for the University of Dayton. Together, let us pray for his eternal rest.
Light refreshments will be available after the liturgy.
