This week, more than 80,000 young people will descend on Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the 12th International World Youth Day. They will meet with our Holy Father Pope Francis, to strengthen the bonds of faith, friendship and hope. It is also a particularly important event for the Holy Father, as this will be one of the preeminent meetings he will have with a large number of young people.
A contingent of young people from our Diocese will also be part of the gathering. Let us pray for the safety of all pilgrims who will make their way to Brazil.
